Who we are
About
LabOptik was born in two independent clinics that were tired of paying brand prices for a lens.
We are opticians and clinic operators before we are a lab. For years we bought our lenses from the big laboratories and watched our margin disappear into a name engraved on the lens. The patient simply wanted to see well.
LabOptik is our answer: a direct line to a freeform manufacturer that works for the big brands, quality control done here in Montréal, and an edging workshop to deliver lenses ready to mount. We supplied our own clinics first. Then the neighbours asked.
We aren't after clinics whose patients ask for a brand. We work for the independents who want to stay competitive, protect their margin and offer a good lens at a fair price.

Every lens is verified in Montréal before it leaves. If it isn't right, it doesn't ship.
